"Woeful tech support and security"
You've all probably heard about their breach in security recently where they generally lied to their customers about the severity of it. However their support is where it all falls down. After being a LastPass customer for years I recommended them to my new workplace and when I encountered an issue with my account the tech support was absolutely woeful. Not only did they manage to lose all of my saved passwords, but they bounced me from one support person to another. One left the company and they didn't even bother to tell me, another went on holidays for three weeks! I'm done with LastPass and after looking at other reviews and videos I am glad I made the decision to switch to a competitor!

"I've been a long time user until now..."
I've been a long time user and previous payer of Lastpass (LP) but since it's aquisition the quality of the product has declined with LP losing my credit cards at one stage through an update! The product is so bad I've had to turn off most of the features that were once great becuase they populate fields all the time and cause more work then they are worth now. The latest update means the chrome browser extension doesn't even show the site password for the site I'm on.... shows all sites .... although the little breadcrumb indicator shows 1 site with password. I'm sorry LP but I"m finally looking for another product.

"Ethics of Thieves. Service very poor."
The Enterprise product is actually good. However be warned.....
The business ethics of this company are aligned with thieves. Reduction of number of licenses is not possible through the UI notably very unlike fair policy of Slack that will auto credit when a user is not using the service.
The support service is diabolical. 15 minute wait. All I want to do is reduce the number of seats from 23 to 20.

"Stay away from Lastpas this App will ruin your life."
I can't change my Master Password for my free account that I have had for years 10+ years. There is no way to accomplish this option even when I know my original password. I was going to upgrade to a premium account, but after what I see is happening with another password account leaks again in March 2023 I wouldn't dream of it. This service is very insecure. You can't get any answers to the simplest question on how to change your password. All the simple options they say to do in their posts do not work. I have had it with the LastPass app and I am warning others, especially seniors or people on a low income, to stay away from this scam operation.

Worst data breach in a very long time, rank incompetence, and they’ve lied about it for half a year. Why there is only one class action lawsuit going on currently is beyond me when they’ve lost 33 million people’s data.

"TOTAL NIGHTMARE"
TOTAL NIGHTMARE. I literally can not work - it tries to enter a password on every single field that has nothing to do with a username and password and doesn't recognise the ones where it is required. It ignores when you block it for a site. It just does. NOT work. Its ruining my life - I am trying to make a recording of how to use software and the bloody thing pops up constantly, unwarranted and bang in the middle of a recording. It is bloody awful!!!!! Don't put yourself through this torture

Been with them 13 years never paid so can't complain but I will.

They are useless their constant login and opt and trust device everyday.

Constantly asking to save pointless keyboard inputs etc etc the app is not worth having and am looking for other options but thanks lastpass might've paid if you had not gone downhill rapidly in the last 2 years!

"I have the same problem as everyone…"
I have the same problem as everyone else. They wont confirm that you've cancelled your account. I would suggest that you refund your funds with your creditcard provider and ones they start a legal case, you should just show prove that you've tried to cancel it serveral times.

"It's a shame you can't give less than 1…"
It's a shame you can't give less than 1 star as LastPass deserves 0.
I'm an IT administrator that had to use LastPass for over a year.
We encountered several bugs with the vault & extension, reporting all of them and having no resolution for the entire time of using the software.
Support is absolutely useless for all but the most simple problems, taking weeks to get back to you.
Their UI / UX leaves MUCH to be desired, its simply unacceptable.
The cherry on top was the massive security breach the platform suffered. While I can accept that these breaches can happen to anyone, the resulting investigation revealed many security issues in the company (ones that especially should not have existed in a company dealing with such sensitive data) - for example, not fully encrypting the vault, not using industry best practice security, and their overall incident handling and communication.
Stay as far as you can away from this product.

"Worst experience"
Worst experience. I have been on paid plan for families and keep trying to look for a phone number because it says phone support is included. I cannot find one anywhere. The interface is outdated and clunky. And they have serious security issues.

"How to Cancel Subscription Auto Renew"
Appalling lack of transparency and accountability following multiple security incidents.Shocked to discover that some login data is kept clear. I've been with them from the beginning but now have no alternative but to leave as all trust is gone. I'm also faced with many hours of work to change all my login details ans transfer to another password manager, 1Password.

It's easy to disable subscription auto renew though it is hidden somewhat. Do the following
- Open browser
- go to lastpass.com and login
- top right, click on little down arrow by your user
- select Account Settings
- under the General tab, scroll down to the 'Account Information'
- under Links, click 'My Account'
A new tab or browser window will open
- look in the second row down, usually called 'Premium Status'
- far right of the expiry date is a big red button
- if the big red button is set to auto renew, click it to turn it off.
Done.
Now go buy another password manager from a company that knows what it's doing.

They lock you out of your own account and then give you zero ways to recover it, garbage company do not use there product the minute you forget your main password your f$#ked.............

"Appealing response time for paid customers"
I've paid for Premium account and after 10 days it's still not available. Support responding every ~5 days with 'try to log out and log in again' or not responding at all. Appealing service for paying customers.

"Avoid at all costs."
LastPass was recommended to me some years ago by a friend. Despite some wobbles and feature revocations since then, last year's security breach was the nail in the coffin for me and many, many others after the vaults of every customer was stolen, with only the master password in the way.

Their blog posts explaining the breach were late and carefully written to undermine the seriousness of the situation which are likely to leave millions with compromised passwords.

Every password stored in LastPass should now be considered breached and existing users should move away ASAP; with class action lawsuits in motion and trust in this company at an all-time low, I'll be surprised if LastPass exists a year from now.

I STRONGLY recommend anyone interested in using LastPass to stay WELL clear.
